Ayayay ... again: Apologies for being so lazy with keeping this blog more or less up to date. Anyway: I wish everybody a Happy New Year and hope the holiday season was nice and relaxing.
I had a quite long time on leave during the festive season. Christoph and Bella came to visit me here in Stellenbosch for about 3 weeks which was really nice. We explored the Western Cape a bit together and we also went on a road trip up to the Augrabies National Park and the Kalahari National Park in the north of South Afica. It was a lot of driving (>2000km) and it was pretty hot (45 °C during the day), but nevertheless an amazing trip. We have seen a lot of wildlife and the landscape up there is mind-blowing.
By the way: In the meanwhile, I became a "mom" of 10 orphan ducklings at the farm. I've got them when they were about 5 weeks old and we built an amazing enclosure for them where they have a big duck house, a little pond ect. :)
